“Ethan is the Best and Fastest” was written on the white board at the VELO Sports Center in Los Angeles, CA, sometime around National Track Championships in 2018. Allegedly, it was written by a junior, who is also named Ethan, about himself.

I (Sydney) saw this on the board and cracked up. Thinking it was about our friend Ethan [Boyes], I took a picture of it, and sent it to the meme chat.

Ethan was too humble to admit that he was “the best and fastest”, but world records and defended titles prove that he is.

We are friends and family of Ethan - brought together by this tragic loss, and the loud silence that is left from his absence.

We’d like to honor him by allowing others to cherish his memory through reminders of the humor that he brought to this world.
